Today, we are announcing Intelligence 2027: the first gathering of the Agency Maximalist movement, and the ecosystem that empowers them.

AI is bringing forth a new Digital Industrial Revolution.

The first Industrial Revolution multiplied human physical power. This one is multiplying human cognitive power.

A single person with an idea can now wield capabilities that used to require a company, university, or government behind them. A founder can operate like a company. A student can have a tutor built around their needs. A creator can run a studio from a laptop. Small teams can take on problems once reserved for giant institutions.

This new kind of leverage is creating a new kind of person: the Agency Maximalist.

Agency Maximalists are the power users of the Digital Industrial Revolution. They use AI and the tools being built around it to build, tinker, explore, create, and ultimately gain greater control over their own lives and improve the lives of the people around them.

The world is headed toward a radical democratization of intelligence, of the kind we have seen only a few times before. The printing press democratized information. The automobile democratized transportation. The internet democratized access and distribution. Bitcoin democratized financial freedom.

AI will redefine every company, every industry, and every economy. But a revolution doesn’t happen with technology alone. It requires the compute to power it, the capital to accelerate it, the policies to guide it, the builders to create it, and the culture to adopt it.

Right now we stand at a fork.

One path has the same answer to every new capability; slow it down, block the data centers, restrict the energy, limit the builders. Accept less growth, less ambition, and less possibility.

That kind of ideology hands power to gatekeepers. Blocked megawatts, restricted models and closed platforms make intelligence more expensive, less smart and less accessible. It means that a handful of companies and governments gain the power to decide what everyone else may know and create.

The other path builds.

More energy, more compute, more models, more competition, more agents, and more control over your data.

We choose that path. We refuse to allow our future to become a managed decline with an API. We reject the politics of less. Humanity will move forward along the Kardashev scale toward a Type 1 civilization.
